God has provided time and time again for our ministry to reach communities who need to not only hear the need for Christ but also experience His love. This past weekend we had the opportunity to come alongside Oak Hills Community Church and First Baptist Floresville in a Disciple Now weekend. Having the privilege of returning this year allowed for there to be more time to ‘catch up’ with the students instead of building relationships. I always find it a blessing to see the maturity in guys that I taught in previous years.

If I could pick one moment where I felt God working the most, it would be in our High School guys’ home. I was very proud of the group I got to stay with because of their willingness to open up. Our conversations were never exclusive and could always relate back to scripture. The most encouraging instance in our group was when our group reached out to those who began to feel uncomfortable. In all my past Disciple Now weekends, I have never experienced students initiating that kind of love before. It was a moment I stood back and had to smile.

God is working in a great way through the community of Floresville, Texas!
