It was such a blessing to return to Floresville this year. Though I did not have the same girls I had last year, I still had an amazing group of girls (LOVE Y'ALL!). It was so awesome to see the excitement about the weekend in all of the students! They were so energized and joyful. I love the fact that Oak Hills and First Baptist can come together and be excited together as part of the Body of Christ, instead of being two different churches. Bryan and Shannon are so sweet, and really are great youth leaders. They set such a Godly example, not only to their students, but to us, the current Glowing Hearters. Anyway, God really moved this weekend! It was so great seeing the students getting right with God. A really common theme was forgiveness. I'm so glad that they have realized how important it is to forgive. I have dealt with that before, and the bitterness that can grow from lack of forgiveness is not a pleasant thing to deal with or get rid of. But praise the Lord that His strength is made perfect in our weakness and that He enables us to forgive and love. I pray they continue to live passionately for Christ, and that they take Him to their schools and homes. I also am SO proud of our new, and dearly loved dummer, Rob! He did such a GREAT job on his first official D-Now. Seriously, he has just gotten better and better on the drums, and I'm so glad that he is a part of the group! I did miss Kevin, but I know that his heart is to follow God, so I support him in whatever he does. It was a blessing to serve with Kevin, and he will always be a GH family member! But now, as Rob takes on this new and exciting role in Glowing Heart, I pray that he continues to rely on the Lord for his strength, patience, and joy. Gosh, I really am so excited for Rob. And plus, we're pacesetter leaders together now! YAY! haha Anyway, this weekend was so great, and I can't wait to see how God continues to move in the lives of our students this semester!
