I grew up in two separate households because my parents got divorced when I was only an infant. My parents both got remarried and I grew up going from house to house. It was pretty hard at times because my two households didn’t get along very well and there was always fighting and arguing. I always felt like I was in the middle. Both of these houses liked to call themselves Christian homes, but I never felt that ease that Christ gives in my heart while I was at either of these places. I went to church at Open Range Cowboy Church and I got saved there when I was nine not knowing what it actually meant to be a Christ follower and to be that light for others. When I got to middle school I started doing very ungodly things, like partying and hanging out with the wrong crowd. It wasn’t until a D-Now I went to my freshman year of high school that I realized what I had been doing was wrong. That D-Now was a life changing weekend for me! The love and guidance that was shown to me was unexplainable. After that weekend I went back home with a new mindset and new expectations for my life. I started actually investing myself into the church and I was growing spiritually more and more every week. The summer after my Junior year I went to Pacesetters for the second time expecting to just get a spiritual booster. Little did I know that during that week God would reveal to me that Glowing Heart is where God wants me.
Glowing Heart’s love and support really inspired me to get my life back on track and to seek God. I don’t know where I would be without this group. They poured into my life throughout all of high school and I am so ready to give back and share the love of Christ with others. This will be my first year of Glowing Heart and I don’t really know what to expect, but I know God is going to do amazing things and I can’t wait to be apart of it.
