What Does A Glowing Heart Year Look Like?

For over 30 years, college students just like yourself have balanced their studies and jobs with opportunities to invest in the lives of countless youth in churches all around! We know that most applying are taking classes or working, or both! So although the schedule is busy, we do our best to leave open important weeks/weekends and dates, so you have the time you need to catch up with friends and family, feel rested and refreshed, and to prepare for finals. The world is searching for answers; ready to point them to The Way?

  • Glowing Heart begins in August and ends mid June. We wrap up the first semester early November and start up again at the end of December. We break once more at the end of April before our summer camp.

  • There are two week long Music Camps, the first in August and the second in January.

  • We lead up to 8 Disciple-Now Weekends a semester, with most having at least one weekend off in between the next. These D-Nows can range from 20 minutes away up to 7 hours away!

  • There is one 3 hour long rehearsal every week.

  • We end the Glowing Heart year with 3 weeks of camp known as PaceSetters. The first week is a Prep Week, the second is Middle School Week, and the third is High School Week.

Although Glowing Heart is only a one year commitment, we highly encourage you to consider being a part of the team for at least two years because there is something indescribable about returning to a church with students you led the year before! Believe us when we say: they’ll ask for you.

What Are We Looking For In Future Members?

Our desire is to be used to lead unbelievers to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior, to encourage and edify the Church, and to disciple believers into more mature walks with Christ. It is beyond what words can express to see lives change as we offer the love of God through Christ Jesus to those we encounter. By God’s grace we are used to minister through praise and testimony to churches, youth groups, fellowships, youth rallies, and a number of other ministry activities.

  • People of integrity - Living based on the standards and principles of God.

  • People committed to excellence - Honoring God by giving their all to the things He has called them to.

  • People who are about people - Jesus was about people and He commissioned everyone to be as well!

  • People who are teachable - Willing to learn from the people God has placed in their lives.

  • People who want to use their talents and passions for the glory of God - instrumentalists, singers, technicians, photographer/videographers, and/or those with a calling to teach.
